Scania: Leader in Mining and Oil & Gas
Scania has solidified its presence in off-road applications, both in mining and the Oil & Gas sector. Juan Pablo highlighted the increasing importance that Scania has in the Patagonia region, where the company has played a fundamental role in the Oil & Gas supply chain production. He also mentioned Scania’s expansion in areas like Añelo, where hundreds of truck units are directly related to the oil industry.
Customized Services for Customers
Juan Pablo assures that Scania takes pride in its ability to tailor its vehicles to the specific needs of customers through the «modular system,» which allows customers to choose different components such as the cabin, engine, axle configuration, and truck length. This way, Scania has the necessary flexibility to assemble specific equipment for each customer and their needs, which is especially relevant in the mining industry and other specific applications or uses.
The Future of Scania: Mining, Oil, Gas, and Agriculture
Juan Pablo emphasized that mining, along with the oil and gas industry, are destined to be Scania’s growth engines in the coming years in Argentina. He pointed out the potential in the lithium sector and in gold, silver, and copper mining in different regions of the country. He also added that Scania is committed to being present in these sectors, providing tailored solutions that contribute to Argentina’s productive development.
