It has been a pleasure to participate as a Media Partner in this excellent event that took place at the Hilton Hotel between August 27 and 30. It is worthwhile to stress the efficient organization and development that absolutely all the different activities had. In the second basement, 66 exhibitors had the opportunity to show their services to a large number of attendees, businessmen and professionals, both national and from abroad, who constantly toured the exhibition. Several companies held technicals talks with technicians, professionals and experts in the different áreas concerning their services and products. During the week in the Theater Hall, there were exhibitions about exploration opportunities and licensing rounds, by South Africa, Namibia, Peru, Uruguay, Barbados, Dominican Republic, Morocco, Colombia, Philippines, Greenland. For Argentina representative from the main oil provinces spoke on Argentina’s behalf.
There was the poster section at the back of the showroom where cartographies with the geological formation of the different hydrocarbon-rich areas of the different countries were exhibited. Experts and technicians explainedl the cartographies to visitors in detail.
In the conference rooms on floors 2 and 5, exhibitions were developed on topics of hydrocarbons, unconventional resources, tectonic and geomechanical structures, characterization of rocks and fluids from unconventional deposits, oil systems and modelling. In short, many topics of higher technical and information value. Sessions from the countries of Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Mexico and Peru were also held.
Argenitina Session Vaca Muertaaroused particular interest . Pablo Bizotto, Vice President of Upstream of YPF, Daniel Valencio Director of Tecpetrol Development, Juan Gairobi of Vista Oil & Gas, and Dani Massacese of Pan American Energy, talked about it.
On the whole, there was information about exploration areas, the significant increases in production, the application of fracking techniques with great reductions in time and costs, projections and challenges were reported.
