**Interview with the Peruvian Ambassador to Argentina Peter Camino Cannock, the Director of the Trade Office of Peru in Argentina Silvia Seperack and Javier Rueda from C&V International Company at the AR Mining Exhibition 2019.**

The
Ambassador stressed the fact that Perú is and has always been a mining country.
He added that in the last 25 years, Perú has greatly advanced with high
international standards and large investments and it has become a significant
worldwide player in the field of mining. The companies have been modernized and
have become large goods and services providers. They have come to Argentina to
participate actively and meet the market’s needs.

He said
that there is a commercial office in the embassy that works hard and has
developed many plans for the current year, not only in Buenos Aires, but also
in the provinces of Argentina. “We know about the great potential the country
holds in this field “

The
ambassador added that although there’s an agreement with Argentina regarding exchange
of goods, negotiations have started to reach a more advanced agreement, with
the characteristics of a free trade agreement, similar to the one concluded
with Chile. He also stated that Perú has been open to investments for many
years now, within a legal framework, and that currently, there are many
Argentine investments. “With a free trade agreement, it will be easy for
Peruvian investments to step up in Argentina”.

The
Director Silvia Seperack, said that six supplying mining companies with ability
to sell their exportable supply have been chosen for the AR Mining event and
they are represented in our stand.

Javier
Rueda from C&V International company mentioned that Argentine market is considered
to hold great potential especially in gold, silver and copper. Besides, he
emphasized that they have had few barriers to market entry, on the basis of the
agreement with Mercosur, which allows them to compete on an equal footing with
Chilean companies.
