Between opportunity and challenge
Argentina is at a turning point in terms of energy. Its wealth of resources is evident in the unconventional potential of Vaca Muerta. It is shown in the recent discoveries of world-class copper, gold and silver deposits in San Juan, in the advancement of renewable energies that place the country among the leaders in the region and also in the reactivation of hydroelectric and nuclear projects. All this sets a strategic scenario for both guaranteeing domestic supply and promoting regional exports.
The country has the opportunity to become a key player on the global energy map. But for that horizon to become a reality, it will be necessary to consolidate clear rules, predictability and long-term consensus.
Energy is not just a resource; it is the engine of productive development, industrial competitiveness and the quality of life of millions of households.
The great challenge is to transform abundance into sustainable well-being.
I invite readers to go through the articles in this edition for deeper analysis into these issues.
